Clarinda Primary School, with a population of 200, is situated in a neatly maintained residential suburb, in the vicinity of several large parks and golf courses. Clarinda is located within the City of Kingston, to the south east of Melbourne.

The addition of desktops, netbooks, laptops and iPad’s completes our comprehensive array of hardware and enable students to access information from anywhere within the school. Every classroom features a state of the art Interactive Smartboard, technology at the forefront of 21st Century teaching and learning.
Music, Art, Physical Education and LOTE (Modern Greek) are the specialist areas which develop the skills of the well-rounded individual.
Students prepare for the annual music concert during term 3 with a strong focus on instrumental, song and dance performances. Our Grade 4 Art Enrichment Program engages the students and enables them to prepare quality art projects that not only beautify the school environment but also create mementoes that can be admired for many years to come.
Outstanding sporting facilities include two basketball and netball courts, two cricket practise nets, a long jump pit and football and soccer fields. Our excellent Physical Education program provides quality skills based instruction. Numerous leisure activities are provided each recess and lunch time to engage students during their breaks.
Our LOTE program is comprehensive with ongoing support from the Greek Consulate. We offer an after school Mother-tongue program that continues to strengthen the skills of students participating.
Home-school relationships are very important and parent participation and feedback celebrate the highly valued, close connections we have established.
Homework is an integral component within all levels of the school. The strong home-school relationship supports this important component and ensures each child reaches their potential.
Our excellent pre-prep program for 3 and 4 years olds focuses on numeracy and literacy skills which prepare the children for a very successful start to their education.
